The top of every page on your website names your kennel. You choose what it shows: your name, your logo, or both. This guide explains each choice and how to add or change your logo without leaving Look.
Add or change your logo
- Open Look.
- Under Your header, choose Add a Logo, then pick the file from your computer or phone. A file with a see-through background looks best on every template.
- A small preview shows the logo your website will use. To use a different one, choose Replace Logo. To take it off, choose Remove Logo.
A new or removed logo waits for Publish, like every change to your look. Until then, the card marks it Waiting to publish. Choose Discard change to keep the logo your visitors see now.
Your logo is also your website's browser icon. It is the same logo as under Your kennel, Site photos, so you can add or change it in either place and both always show the same one.
Choose what your header shows
- Open Look.
- Under Your header, find Site header shows and choose one:
- Name shows your kennel name in your template's own lettering. This is the default.
- Logo shows your logo alone. Screen readers and search engines still read your name.
- Logo + name shows your logo beside your name.
If you choose Logo or Logo + name before you have a logo, Look opens the file picker for you so you can add one straight away.
Your choice is saved as soon as you make it and goes live when you publish, on every page in every template. Until then, Look marks it Waiting to publish, and your editor and preview already show it. Choose Undo in the next few seconds to go back, or Discard change to keep the header your visitors see now.
What to expect
- Your logo keeps its own shape. It is never cropped, only made smaller to fit the header.
- Each template decides how tall your logo stands, so it still fits next to the menu button on a phone.
- Templates with a light footer show the same choice in the footer. Templates with a dark footer keep your name there, so a dark logo never disappears against it.
- Changing templates keeps your choice.
- Visitors see the change once you publish. Publish Website lists it as Site header.
If something goes wrong
- You chose Logo and your header still shows your name. There is no logo yet. Look says so under the choice. Choose Add a Logo in the same card.
- Your logo didn't upload. Check your connection and choose Add a Logo again. If Look says you are out of photo room, it shows what you can do next.
- Your editor shows the new header but your website doesn't. The choice is waiting to publish. Choose Publish Website to put it live.
- Your logo looks tiny. It probably has a lot of empty space around it. Trim the space in the image and upload it again.
- Your logo is hard to see. It may be too close to your template's colors. Try another palette under Look, or upload a version made for a light background.
